Perform system administration and helpdesk type tasks under the supervision of a manager. The work includes installation, upgrades, repair and maintenance of servers, desktops, laptops, disconnected Local Area Networks (LANs) and networked resources attached to a Wide Area Network (WAN). Support for network backup systems, configuration support for user applications, troubleshooting and/or debugging network-related problems, inventory management and maintenance of the network's authorization infrastructure.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform system administration and helpdesk type tasks under the supervision of a manager and senior engineers.
  • Supporting servers, desktop and laptop PCs
  • Installation, upgrades, repair and maintenance of disconnected Local Area Networks (LANs) and networked resources attached to a Campus Area Network (CAN)
  • Support for network backup systems (Arctera Backup Exec/CommVault)
  • Configuration support for user applications
  • IT asset management
  • Rotational after-hours Patch Management (SCCM/MECM)
  • Ability to work well with technical and non-technical staff is required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience, or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience, or in lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
  • 2-4 years of advanced knowledge of operating systems such as Windows Server 2019/2022/2025, Windows 10/11, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8/9/10
  • 2-4 years Journeyman level experience of Cisco/Dell switches and L2/L3 networking
  • Secret Clearance is required

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of Veritas/Arctera Backup Exec or other backup technologies and methodologies
  • Experience with RedHat Satellite
  • Experience with Ansible Tower
  • Experience with SharePoint Administration/Development
  • Web Application Management (Apache/Java)
  • CompTIA Security+ Certification
  • Familiarity with DISA System Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
  • Very good written and verbal communication skills required.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is Min $88,500.00 Min - $164,500.00 Max. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
