Northrop Grumman Aeronautic Systems (NGAS) is looking for a Software/Principal software Engineer Level 2/3 based out of Clearfield, UT.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Coding & Development: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code for websites and web apps.
  • Design Implementation: Translate designs from graphic designers into functional web pages, ensuring aesthetic appeal and usability.
  • SharePoint Website Development
  • Front end application development
  • Operational Tool Development: Design, develop, and maintain web applications that serve as the central nervous system for manufacturing groups, enabling the seamless dissemination of production goals and schedules.
  • Data Ingestion & Integration: Create intuitive interfaces and automated workflows to capture real-time data from manufacturing teams, ensuring accurate tracking of the production lifecycle.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner directly with manufacturing stakeholders to translate complex operational needs into technical requirements, streamlining how teams coordinate efforts to meet delivery milestones.
  • SharePoint Ecosystem Management: Leverage SharePoint as a robust platform for information architecture, creating custom sites and lists that act as "single sources of truth" for production data.
  • Workflow Automation: Develop logic and automated triggers (using tools like Power Automate or Python) to reduce manual data entry and minimize communication gaps between manufacturing stages.
  • UI/UX for the Shop Floor: Implement clean, functional designs that prioritize ease of use for team members in high-paced manufacturing environments, ensuring high adoption and data accuracy.

This is a dual level opportunity. We are open to candidates that qualify for a level 2 or level 3.

Basic Qualifications:

Software Developer Level 2:

  • Bachelors in STEM field with Years 1 year of experience in the following fields: Software, Software Development, Systems, Data Science, Web, Data, Infrastructure, Game, Cloud, AI, Machine Learning, Database Development, Computer, Software Automation OR; Masters in STEM with 0 years of experience in mentioned fields.
  • 1 year of work experience any of the following: HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
  • Experience with Framework/Libraries.
  • Knowledge and experience with Python and SQL.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Clearance per company and or business needs.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR) per company and or business needs.

Principal Software Developer Level 3:

  • Bachelors in STEM field with Years 4 year of experience in the following fields: Software, Software Development, Systems, Data Science, Web, Data, Infrastructure, Game, Cloud, AI, Machine Learning, Database Development, Computer, Software Automation OR; Masters in STEM with 3 years of experience in mentioned fields OR; PhD in STEM with 0 years of experience.
  • Experience with Framework/Libraries
  • Knowledge and experience with Python and SQL
  • Ability to get an Active Secret Clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Top Secret Clearance and Special Program Access

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in GTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Proficiency with SQL and Python
  • Experience with SharePoint Online, Modern Sites, SharePoint Designer, and API integration.
  • Familiarity with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate), Teams, and Azure.
  • Experience or working knowledge of Gy/Github, React, RoR
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills; strong interpersonal and analytic skills
  • Works well in a team-environment
  • Previous in-depth domain knowledge of program software design and code preferred
  • Familiarity with XML and XML schemas

Primary Level Salary Range: $72,100.00 - $108,100.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
