THE WORK
Lockheed Martin is seeking a talented Software Engineer with a TS/SCI clearance and Sec+ (or DoD8570 compliant cert) to work from our King of Prussia, PA location.

This is an Emerging Professional (level 2) ROLE where candidates typically require 1+ years of professional experience and a BS degree.

Within LM Space, the Stormbreaker Program is looking for a highly motivated individual to join the program area as a Software Engineer. This exciting position will fill a critical need in the new and emerging area of protecting space assets.

You will be working with a custom built software framework and its baseline while integrating into new industry standard and development pipeline tools.

As part of an Agile team, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of tasks in various areas across the mission and collaborate with the development teams, contractors, customers, and subject matter experts.

This position provides the opportunity to be a part of the entire engineering life-cycle, where the candidate will be able to apply their Software Engineering background at the lowest level all the way up through full system functionality.

Basic Qualifications:
• Assist with the creation and management of reports, dashboards, and performance analytics to support operational and leadership insights.
• Monitor system performance and optimize platform configurations for stability of program.
• Assist with managing Windows Server roles via Server Manager, including DNS Server, AD DS, and related Stormbreaker infrastructure services.
• This position requires an active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Security+ or DoD 8570 compliant certification.
Desired Skills:
• Knowledge of various Linux/Unix, Windows and Windows Server Operating Systems.
• Implement backup and recovery strategies for ServiceNow instances, including regular backups, data validation, and disaster recovery procedures to ensure business continuity and data integrity.
• Utilize VM automation tools/scripts to deprovision VM resources and maintain automated integrations between ServiceNow and external systems (GitLab CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, etc.) using REST/SOAP APIs, and scripting.
• Knowledge of common Kubernetes infrastructure and Terraform modules to automate the provisioning of Virtual Machines in VMWare vSphere/vCenter
• Knowledge and experience in Service Operations Center (SOC) environment.
• Collaborate with networking, OS, and security teams to define VM specifications (CPU, memory, storage, networking, OS templates) according to business and compliance requirements.
• Adopt Agile methodology principles and best practices.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
