Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Manufacturing Superintendent (Level M) to lead and support the Skin & Spar (S&S) Operations out of Auburn & Puyallup, WA. This position is primarily for 1st shift; however, alternate shifts may be required to meet program objectives.

The selected candidate will be a dynamic senior leader with a proven track record of leading changes, inspiring others, and challenging the status quo.  In this role, will have the unique opportunity to transform the work we do, develop our teams, and integrate across organizations and the enterprise. The responsibility includes leading a cross-functional group within the S&S Manufacturing Business Unit, including oversight of union-represented and salaried, non-represented teammates across three shifts. This position also serves as the primary delegate for the Director of S&S.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads employees and mid-level managers perform activities within multiple manufacturing subject areas

  • Develops and implements departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives

  • Acquires resources for organizational activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, collaborators, peers, and partners

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes

  • Leads, develops and motivates employees and mid-level managers

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience leading and/or developing a team

  • 5+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment

  • 5+ years of experience in advising and influencing managers or non-managers to meet schedules or resolve technical or operational problems

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience using the Boeing Production System (BPS) and/or experience with lean manufacturing

  • Experience in manufacturing or quality processes

  • Experience executing strategies that drive employee engagement

  • Ability to work any shift, although primary responsibility will be 1st shift

  • Strong communication skills

  • Bachelor's degree

Shift:

Additional shifts may be required to support program objectives.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range: $183,600 - $248,400
