Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking to hire a Training Systems IPT Systems Engineering Manager 3 responsible for the full lifecycle of the Sentinel Training System. This position will be located in Roy, UT. This includes the Training System Requirements Analysis (TSRA): development of instructor led training (ILT), on the job training (OJT), self paced courseware, training devices, and network infrastructure; and learning management system (LMS) integration and development. This position may offer a competitive relocation package.

What You’ll Get To Do:

• Leadership & IPT Management

• Develop vision and execution training system strategies for the full training system lifecycle

• Lead a multidisciplinary IPT to achieve training outcomes

• Facilitate regular IPT reviews, status updates, and stakeholder communication.

• Manage technical, cost, and schedule performance using Earned Value Management (EVM)

• Physical Training Device Development

• Oversee concept, design, prototyping, and build of trainer hardware and software

• Ensure compliance with defense standards, and safety regulations

• Courseware Development & Integration

• Direct the creation of curriculum, instructional media, and interactive software

• Apply instructional design best practices (ADDIE, SAM) to produce scenario based training modules, assessments, and after action reviews.

• Systems Engineering & Requirements Management

• Translate user/mission requirements into hardware technical specifications

• Manage requirements traceability, verification, and validation throughout the product lifecycle.

• Supplier management

• Collaborate with and manage suppliers developing training devices and courseware

• Stakeholder & Customer Engagement

• Interface with the Air Force and NG leaders

• Prepare and deliver briefings, status reports, and technical presentations.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.  

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 8 years of related experience or Master's degree and 6 years of related experience

• Experience with training systems and training devices

• Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years with an ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance with Special Access Program (SAP) approval

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

• Program Management experience within the Aerospace and Defense industry

• Experience with Air Force training systems and devices

• ICBM experience

• Earned Value experience

• Supplier Management experience

• Active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval

Primary Level Salary Range: $166,700.00 - $250,100.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
