Description

SAIC is seeking a full time Senior Test & Evaluation Engineer to provide on site support at Quantico, VA, in direct support of United States Marine Corps (USMC) programs. This role supports both software and networking hardware testing activities and works closely with developers, system engineers, and government stakeholders to ensure solutions meet operational requirements.

The engineer will develop and execute test plans, test cases, and procedures; perform Test & Evaluation (T&E) of new and existing USMC systems; and support the delivery of required test documentation. This position requires strong analytical abilities, experience with enterprise grade networks, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, mission focused environment.

Job Duties:

  • Develop, review, and execute test plans, test procedures, and test cases supporting USMC hardware and software systems.
  • Conduct Test & Evaluation of systems across various platforms, including enterprise grade and tactical networking hardware.
  • Collaborate with government customers to develop test scripts and procedures that are clear, actionable, and traceable to requirements.
  • Support on site testing activities at CONUS and OCONUS USMC installations (up to 25% travel).
  • Perform QA/QC auditing of system installations, configurations, and network architectures.
  • Analyze test results, document issues, validate fixes, and track resolution through established defect management processes.
  • Produce required T&E deliverables including test plans, test scripts, requirements traceability reporting, daily status reports, and test summary reports.
  • Maintain comprehensive test documentation in accordance with customer and program standards. 

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience or Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience.
  • Experience supporting Test & Evaluation, System Analysis, Systems Architecture, and/or Systems/Equipment Support activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to test large, enterprise grade networks and develop solutions to support network centric test activities.
  • Proficiency in creating and maintaining test scripts, test cases, and structured test documentation.
  • Strong working knowledge of networking hardware, standard network protocols, and hands on troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Visio.

Required Security Clearance:

  • No clearance required to start; must be able to obtain a Secret.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • CTFL certification strongly desired.
  • Understanding of hardware/software integration, troubleshooting, and system development life cycles.
  • Familiarity with network architecture design, system configuration, and communication technologies.
  • Experience documenting operational and functional requirements.
  • Working knowledge of Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTM).
