SAIC is a trusted leader in delivering advanced command and control capabilities across the Department of the Air Force, bringing deep expertise in how cutting edge technologies are engineered, secured, and delivered to the fight. At the center of this mission, the Common Mission Control Center (CMCC) unifies data, sensors, mission applications, cloud based services, and emerging AI enabled automation to give warfighters a decisive edge—turning complex, multidomain information into fast, clear, and actionable decisions in the moments that matter most. The CMCC System Facilitator contract positions SAIC to accelerate how new capabilities are integrated, tested, secured, and transitioned into operational use, working side by side with operators, engineers, Capability Providers, and government teams to ensure every delivery strengthens mission readiness. This effort offers the chance to directly shape how the Air Force sees, decides, and acts across all domains—making a tangible and immediate impact on warfighter effectiveness.

SAIC is seeking an experienced Senior Test Engineer to support system integration and verification across CMCC’s multi environment test pipeline. This engineer will develop and execute manual and automated test cases, build and maintain test environments, and ensure capability releases meet functional, performance, interoperability, and security criteria defined by the System Integration Process (SIP).

Job Duties Include:

  • Develop, maintain, and execute manual and automated test cases and test scripts.
  • Build and maintain test environments across cloud, hardware, software, and network components.
  • Develop automated test workflows integrated into CI/CD pipelines; support continuous integration testing.
  • Document and track defects, issues, and anomalies identified during testing, including DDI prototype issues.
  • Perform integration, regression, performance, and interface testing to validate readiness for CCB advancement.
  • Monitor testing progress through metrics, dashboards, and status reporting; identify areas for service improvement.
  • Support code promotion through Development, Test, Staging, and Operational environments with validated test results.
  • Collaborate with software, hardware, and cyber teams to assess test failures and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain test documentation, test data, and artifacts required for Acceptance Test Reports (ATRs) and accreditation.

  • Bachelors degree and 14 years of experience.
  • Test data management experience and hands on test automation expertise.
  • Experience writing automated tests in Python; familiarity with Java or database programming is a plus.
  • Experience with DevOps, continuous integration, and source control tools (GitLab, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps).
  • Experience with Agile development and testing methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
  • Ability to work across multidisciplinary domains including software, hardware, and cybersecurity.
  • Experience building, configuring, and validating cloud based or containerized test environments.
  • Strong understanding of testing for distributed, containerized, or cross-domain systems.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience with REST Assured, Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, SoapUI, or similar automation tools.
  • Experience with performance, load, or security scanning tools.

  • Experience supporting CMCC, CBC2, AOC Falconer, DI, JFN, or similar DAF C3BM programs.

Desired Skills and Certifications:

  • ISTQB, Security+, AWS Cloud Practitioner, or DevSecOps-related certifications.
  • Experience writing automated test scripts (Python/Bash) and YAML-based CI/CD test pipelines.
  • Experience with monitoring/observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Elastic.
