The Senior Technician supports engineering and manufacturing teams by performing advanced technical tasks related to the assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of aerospace components and systems. This role requires a high level of hands-on expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, install, and test aerospace components and systems according to engineering specifications and procedures.
  • Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting on mechanical, electrical, or fluid systems.
  • Operate and maintain specialized tools, test equipment, and instrumentation.
  • Document test results, discrepancies, and corrective actions in accordance with quality standards.
  • Support prototype builds, engineering development efforts, and production transitions.
  • Collaborate with engineers to provide feedback on designs and suggest improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Train and mentor junior technicians and support personnel.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree or technical certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Technology.
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience in aerospace or high-tech manufacturing environments.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Experience with mechanical assembly, wiring, soldering, or hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Desired Qualifications

  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification or equivalent.
  • Experience with environmental or vibration testing.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and digital work instructions.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 quality standards and documentation practices.
  • Experience supporting R&D or prototype development programs.

Travel Requirements

  • Minimal travel (up to 10%) may be required for field support, training, or off-site testing.

This position is on-site in St George, Utah
