We are looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to implement tools, processes, and procedures within our inspection processes prior to factory release. The SQE will also investigate, evaluate, and resolve measurement correlations between Incoming Inspection and the source of the supply. The supplier quality engineer will engage with experts across our commodity team to proactively mitigate risk and ensure effective resolution of issues as well as engage with program teams to support the manufacturing floor, flow down of customer contractual requirements, sourcing decisions, and supplier risk identification. A strong desire and mindset to drive actions and projects to closure without being prompted, is a must. Strong communication skills are required to ensure suppliers understand requirements, expectations, and present findings. Ability to influence and execute across functions and organizations summarize briefing/findings at an executive leadership level will be necessary for success.
Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site.
Additionally you will:
Utilize supplier Scorecards/metrics and analytical tools to quantify performance levels of individual suppliers and work with those suppliers to develop improvement plans to achieve 100% quality performance
Measurement System Analysis knowledge and application
Technical writing skills
Manufacturing Execution System experience
Advanced Inspection Equipment knowledge and application
Champion problem solving and root cause analysis activities with suppliers to eliminate recurrence of non‐conformances
Flow down contractual requirements to suppliers based on QMS / part / risk / customer requirements
Ability to work and colloborate across multiple functions
Project management is a plus
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Technical bachelor’s degree and 2-4+ years of experience or 6-8+ years of experience in lieu of degree
Ability to analyze supplier defect/performance data and display visually
Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical drawings, specifications, requirements,
Well-organized
Strong communicator capable of working through complex issues with peers, management and multiple functionsProficient in MS Office Products including Word, Excel, Power Point
Sampling Plan Understanding
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field
- L6S Greenbelt
- Experience with root cause corrective action investigations
- Experience with electronics manufacturing
- Proven ability to coordinate a team to drive action
- Experience with metric trending
- AS9102/AS9145 experience
- Previous Experience with creating inspection plans
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $92290 - $156860
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
