Job Description

Amentum is seeking a Senior Solution Architect with 15+ years’ experience leading IT and C4ISR systems engineering modernization initiatives and innovation to serve as an integral member of our Engineering and Technology Business Development/Growth team. This position will help grow our business and make an impact in an exciting, growing market. We require a collaborative team member who can effectively work across all levels of Amentum, gathering information and producing critical content under deadlines. This candidate will support technical solution design and author compelling technical solutions in response to Government RFP requirements. The candidate must be able to proactively engage with key stakeholders to develop and author technical solutions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as a technical architect and author across the pursuit lifecycle and within an integrated growth team, including capture and business development activities
  • Provide end-to-end thought leadership across proposal responses that include elements such as technical solutions, staffing, and implementation schedules
  • Provide expert technical writing capabilities in the development of technical artifacts, white papers, statements of work, briefings, etc.
  • Work with teaming partners to develop technical solutions, integration of teaming partners’ and capabilities
  • Explore new approaches/enabling technologies to drive solution innovation and improvements and ensure corporate solutions are relevant for current and emerging trends
  • Capture business and technical requirements and clearly convey them to audiences of varying technical skill levels
  • Work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment, completing multiple complex tasks simultaneously

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Engineering and 15+ years of experience in IT and C4ISR systems/network engineering efforts to include Cloud & Infrastructure architecture and deployment; enterprise network architecture; DoDAF requirements; and Agile, Scrum, and Sprint processes
  • Current certification in the following: Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v3, CompTIA Network+, and CompTIA Security+ Experience in proposal solutioning and development in response to U.S Government RFPs
  • Must be highly proficient with word-processing, integrated software applications, and use of artificial intelligence tools
  • Proven track record of supporting development and delivery of successful technical documentation and proposal responses
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at the primary corporate work location.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Lead and/or Senior systems engineering experience
  • Experience in AI R&D initiatives, evaluation and deployment of enterprise AI tools, and Enterprise IT as a Service

Compensation Details:

$180,000 - 225,000
