Job Description

Job Description Summary

The Senior Program Fulfillment Leader is accountable for NPI supplier execution for a designated program, leading delivery and readiness across castings, forgings, machining, fabrications, and other commodities as needed. This role integrates supply plan, supplier capacity, risk, quality, and change impacts to ensure part availability to NPI build need dates while improving SQDC through disciplined operating rhythms and proactive constraint management.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Supplier execution across commodities: Lead end-to-end performance for assigned suppliers, including sub-tier dependencies (melt source, heat treat, coatings, NDT, special processes).
  • NPI readiness and milestone delivery: Drive supplier readiness to support NPI builds (tooling/fixtures, routings, special process qualification, first article readiness, inspection capability, packaging/handling).
  • Constraint, lead time, and schedule control: Manage long-lead risks and bottlenecks (pattern/die/tooling release, furnace capacity, machining cell capacity, weld/fab capacity, special processes) and execute recovery plans.
  • Quality at the source: Partner with SQE/Quality to prevent escapes and accelerate containment and corrective action; focus on high-risk drivers (casting/forging defects, dimensional variation, heat treat compliance, weld quality, NDT capacity).
  • Change management for NPI: Translate engineering changes into supplier execution plans (impact to tooling, routers, inspection, and lead times) and maintain schedule stability through clear priorities and decision trade-offs.
  • Operating cadence and visibility: Run weekly supplier execution reviews; maintain a robust risk register and deliver executive-ready status for shortages, past due, and readiness risks.
  • Cost and stability: Reduce premium freight/expedites and cost of poor quality through improved schedule discipline, supplier recovery, and prevention of repeat defects.
  • Cross-functional leadership: Lead through influence across Sourcing, Planning, SQE, Engineering, Quality, and Program teams to ensure “one plan” and rapid closure of blockers.
