Position Summary: You will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of aircraft maintenance operations across assigned teams, ensuring alignment with organisational strategy, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. This includes overseeing multidisciplinary teams of aircraft maintenance engineers and MRO support personnel, and working closely with Engineering, Planning, Procurement, and Finance to ensure maintenance projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. The role involves daily oversight of operatons, driving team performance, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to optimise efficiency, enhance customer satisfaction, and support business growth.
Main Responsibilities:
- Accountable Manager for Hong Kong MRO site with 15 headcount; Engineering, Planning, SCM, Invoicing and Store.
- Lead site-wide MRO operations, ensuring strategic alignment with company goals and regulatory requirements.
- Own and manage the P&L for maintenance operations, driving cost control, revenue growth, and profitability.
- Oversee cross-functional execution of Engineering, Planning, Procurement, and Logistics to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve turnaround times, resource utilisation, and service quality.
- Ensure full compliance with aviation regulations (e.g., Part 145), safety standards, and Jet Aviation policies.
- Champion a culture of safety, performance, and continuous improvement across all teams.
- Provide leadership and mentorship in training, performance management, and employee development.
- Manage complex maintenance events including scheduled checks, unscheduled repairs, defect rectification, and AOG support.
- Drive operational readiness and responsiveness for offsite and emergency maintenance support.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to support customer engagement and identify new business opportunities.
- Oversee billing, cash collection, and financial reporting to ensure alignment with financial objectives.
- Promote human factors best practices and ensure a safe, compliant, and high-performing work environment.
- Lead strategic initiatives and continuous improvement projects to elevate site performance and customer satisfaction.
- Support MRO operations through the application of regulatory approvals held to enhance operational flexibility and compliance.
- Perform other executive-level duties as required to support site operations and business objectives.
- Represent Jet Aviation in industry forums, regulatory engagements, and within the General Dynamics network.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant disciplines
- Minimum of 10 years' progressive experience in aircraft maintenance, including leadership roles within MRO or Part 145 organisations, regional experience in ASIA preferred.
- Holder of an EASA or HKCAD or FAA aircraft maintenance license
- Formal aircraft maintenance training as acceptable to HKCAD/EASA Part 145 or other
- applicable NAA
- Minimum of one useable aircraft type rating/training (subject to skills and experience)
- Thorough knowledge of MRO Operations and understanding of regulatory framework and
- OEMs
- Strong commercial acumen with a clear understanding of cost drivers and operational efficiency responsibility
- Proven leadership in managing diverse technical teams and navigating complex, matrixed organisations.
- Experience in implementing business plans and strategic guidelines
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, business execution, and continuous improvement initiatives
