At General Dynamics Information Technology, you'll work on high-impact systems that support national security missions at scale. We're looking for a Senior Java Developer to help design and build modern, cloud-native applications in a fast-paced Agile environment.

This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy solving complex backend challenges, building scalable microservices, and working with modern technologies alongside a strong technical team.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java/Kotlin microservices
• Build high-throughput backend systems and APIs
• Deploy and support applications in AWS using Docker and Kubernetes
• Troubleshoot and optimize distributed systems
• Contribute to architecture, CI/CD, and engineering best practices
• Collaborate across Agile teams to deliver mission-focused solutions

Qualifications

Required

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field
• 5+ years of software development experience
• 4+ years of Java development experience
• Experience with microservices, Spring, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Strong understanding of scalable backend architecture

Preferred

• Experience leading Agile development teams
• Mentoring or technical leadership experience
• Linux experience

The likely salary range for this position is $164,382 - $207,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
