Boeing Defense, Space, & Security (BDS) located in Oklahoma City, OK, is seeking a highly qualified senior Flight Deck Avionics Engineer to develop leading-edge solutions to directly support the warfighter. The selected candidate will primarily work across the AEW&C platforms, taking on a leadership role in guiding flight deck avionics engineers and mentoring early career engineers. This position also involves representing the organization as the prime technical contact for the AEW&C platform.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Act as a team lead for flight deck avionics engineers, providing guidance and oversight on projects

  • Mentor early career engineers, fostering their professional development and technical skills

  • Collaborate with customers to develop and document complex flight deck avionics system and subsystem requirements

  • Analyze and translate requirements into system, subsystem, hardware, and software designs and interface specifications

  • Test and validate to ensure system and subsystem designs meet operational and functional requirements

  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure system and subsystem integration and compliance with requirements

  • Solve problems concerning and provide support for fielded hardware and software throughout the entire product lifecycle

  • Research specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs

  • Serve as a prime technical contact for an AEW&C platform, representing the organization in technical discussions and decisions

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • 8 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience

Preferred Qualifications/Desired Skills (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Flight Deck avionics integration experience

  • Electrical Engineering degree

  • Civilian and/or military aircraft certification experience

Summary pay range: $111,350 - $150,650
