SAS1 Cost Planning Analyst Lead

The SAS1 Cost Planning department within the Space & Mission Systems Segment of L3Harris is seeking an analyst to lead the SAS1 Manufacturing and Material Handling Pools and also serve as the lead analyst over the entirety of the Operations function for the Space Systems Sector. The Operations function includes Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and Property. This is a high-visibility role that interacts directly with functional and sector leadership. The analyst will work closely with functional/sector leadership on budgeting and forecasting.

Essential Functions:

• Prepare and deliver functional reports - Reporting topics include budgets vs. forecasts vs. actuals, headcount trends, non-labor expenses, discretionary, and capital
• Assist functions with information/data requests
• Assist functions with various cost-planning–related requests (e.g., special projects, cost transfers, ICPs, etc.)
• Various ad hoc information requests and analyses
• Drive process improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 9 years of prior relevant experience; Or, Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience; Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience
• Finance experience with a defense contractor

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Strong analytical ability including the ability to provide concise, insightful observations
• Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Willing to regularly interface with functional leadership and establish strong business partnerships
• Self-starter with a continuous improvement mentality
• Experience with AI tools
• Experience with automation tools (Alteryx)
• Experience with dashboard reporting tools (Power BI)
• Program finance experience is a plus
• Advanced forecasting and consolidation skills
• Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with PeopleSoft and Hyperion Planning is a plus
