The Boeing Company is looking for a highly motivated Information Digital Technology professional to join the SAP S/4 Center of Excellence to manage and run the SAP Application and Technology Architecture as a SAP S/4 Strategy & Architecture Senior Manager in Renton, WA; Arlington, VA; Dallas, TX; Ridley Park, PA; or Berkeley, MO.

We are seeking a highly experienced SAP technology leader to lead day-to-day SAP S/4 architecture, cross-value-stream solution and technical architecture, and the rationalization of SAP artifacts across a complex, heterogeneous SAP landscape. The SAP S/4 Architecture Manager leads the architecture strategy, roadmaps and governance for large-scale SAP S/4HANA implementations at Boeing.

This role is responsible for managing and governing SAP Common Core Template across Process, Applications and Solutions and Technology domains  in alignment with business capability needs across Supply chain, Finance, Program and Assets Management functions in a multi-instance S/4 Landscape.

The position also supports the use of AI-enabled tools and SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) to improve delivery efficiency, data governance, analytics, and decision-making. Experience in complex manufacturing and/or Aerospace & Defense environments is highly valued.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead the overall Enterprise architecture for SAP S/4HANA programs

  • Define and maintain Transitional and target-state architecture across Processes, Applications, data, Solutions, infrastructure, and security leveraging industry standard Architecture and Process modeling tools like LeanIX and Signavio

  • Ensure SAP processes and solutions align with Boeing standards, business objectives, and SAP best practices

  • Review Process, solution designs and provide architecture governance across multiple S/4 programs focusing on incremental common process capability maturity and reusability

  • Support system landscape design across development, testing, training, and production environments including opportunities to automate lifecycles

  • Ensure strong data architecture, including master and Transaction data objects, data quality, lineage, and governance

  • Lead integration strategy and architecture for SAP and non-SAP systems using APIs, middleware, and data platforms

  • Support adoption of SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) and/or enterprise data lake house for trusted, analytics-ready enterprise data

  • Identify opportunities to use AI tools for Design, Development, testing, documentation, process improvement, and architecture support

  • Ensure AI use follows security, privacy, compliance, and governance requirements

  • Support requirements for scalability, performance, availability, resilience, and security

  • Partner with business, functional, technical, and cybersecurity teams to deliver end-to-end solutions

  • Support cutover, go-live, and post-go-live stabilization from an architecture perspective

  • Provide architecture guidance for manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and program execution processes

  • Support traceability, compliance, and controlled data requirements common in Aerospace & Defense environments

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher

  • 10+ years of experience working in a cross-functional environment with all levels in the business from individual contributors to executive leadership

  • 10+ years of experience within information technology

  • 10+ years of experience in organization management

  • 10+ years in leadership roles managing teams, initiatives, or projects in an SAP ECC or S/4 environment

  • 5+ years of experience with SAP S/4 architecture

  • 5+ years of experience in SAP RICEFW rationalization, ABAP programming, and SAP S/4 architecture and modules

  • Experience with SAP BTP (Cloud Foundry, Kyma), PI/PO, CPI, MDG, Datasphere/Data Cloud, and HANA architecture

  • Able to travel domestically and internationally

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Certifications in SAP S/4HANA architecture, SAP BTP, SAP Activate, or related SAP technologies

  • Experience with SDLC methodologies (Agile) and modern DevOps/CI/CD practices for SAP

  • Experience with ABAP, BADI, BAPI, IDoc, OData, Fiori/UI5, CDS Views and related SAP technologies

  • Experience with large-scale SAP S/4 transformations, multi-program landscapes, and RISE with SAP migrations

  • Experience in supply chain, fulfillment, manufacturing, logistics, or finance

  • Experience with cloud migration strategies, tenancy decisions, and cloud cost optimization for SAP workloads

  • Experience with SAP Identity Authentication/Cloud Identity, SAP Cloud ALM, observability tooling, and security/compliance frameworks

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $161,500 - $233,450
