RPA Mx Production Superintendent II / Deployment Pool (R)

Employee will be part of the Deployment Pool and will be required to support deployments to various CONUS/OCONUS locations, as required. This position will require the member to be flexible in the support of assigned deployment/work schedules. The RPA Production Superintendent II, functioning in an aircraft hangar and flight line environment, oversees and coordinates the work effort of assigned subordinate maintenance personnel in support of the unit’s daily RPA operations. Assists the Production Superintendent III in maintaining the schedule and technical performance of the RPA Maintenance (Mx) program at the site level. Lead for production, supply, production control/planning and quality management aspects of RPA Mx. Acts as primary point of contact for customers on the flight line.

USAF equivalent position is Production Superintendent.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Plans, schedules, and/or coordinates all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities and flight-line work operations for all assigned personnel in support of MQ-9 Mx daily, weekly, and monthly operations.

• Completes daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports and other required paperwork for Mx readiness.

• Interfaces with internal and external customers to support flying schedules and plan maintenance events.

• Manages employee productivity on a day-to-day basis to ensure Mx operational readiness.

• Enforces technical and/or procedural guidelines for performance of work within Mx operations.

• Communicates effectively with customers as a representative of the company, as needed.

• Enforces Human Resource (HR) policies and programs throughout work environment.

• Evaluates and documents employee performance and all HR related discipline issues, as needed.

• Performs all other duties as assigned or requested by Supervisors.

Minimum Requirements

• Must have High School Diploma, or have completed relevant military and/or vocational technical school curriculum.

• Must have a minimum of twelve (12) years’ experience in flightline maintenance operations and activities.

• Must have a minimum of one (1) year experience, as MQ-9 Production Superintendent.

• Minimum of three (3) years of diverse management experience; and excellent communication, analytical, project management and supervisory skills.

• Must have expert knowledge of basic and complex mechanical maintenance and repair

• Must possess expert knowledge of technical publications related to aircraft mechanical maintenance

• Must know theory and principles of operation of engines, accessories and components, theory of flight and electronic flight controls, and have an expert understanding of applicable systems

• Must have desktop computer skills with proficiency in full range of Microsoft Office products; must be capable of preparing management level reports and presentations.

• Must have a practical knowledge of company policies, procedures and practices sufficient to perform as an effective, informed supervisor.

• Employee must meet all OCONUS deployment criteria, to include pre-deployment medical screening, as a condition of employment

• Must be able to Deploy to Forward Locations (other countries) as Directed by the Government

• Must be able to lift, carry and/or wear Military Issued Equipment in excess of 50 pounds for extended periods

• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English

• Must submit updated SF-86 within 30 days of hire start date

• Must have had an Active Secret US Government Clearance within the last 12 months. Note: US citizenship is required to obtain a Secret clearance.

• Must be able to maintain required DoD security clearance commensurate with the assigned duties during employment

• Must have current/active U.S. Driver’s License

• Must have valid U.S. Passport with a minimum of two years remaining with at least two facing pairs (four total) of blank Visa pages

• Must be fully COVID-19 vaccinated with booster. Accommodations may be available under limited circumstances.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree in a relevant career field

• Prior MQ-9 Production Superintendent experience

• MQ-9 Deployment experience

• Experience in bare-base set-up/tear-down in support of MQ-9 operations

• Prior experience as a Defense Contractor

• Production Superintendent experience within the last 10 years
