CYBERSECURITY ENGINEER SENIOR

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
  • As a Cybersecurity Engineer Principal, the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of Integrated Undersea Surveillance Systems. You will play a crucial role in helping design networks and helping to secure them with proper cybersecurity techniques.
  • Lead/Manage/Support -assist leading team of cybersecurity SME's in securing various customer networks
  • Drive key outcomes and help the team innovate and resolve challenges, etc.
  • Understand and use essential tools for handling files, directories, command-line environments, and documentation
  • Create simple shell scripts
  • Operate running systems, including booting into different run levels, identifying processes, starting and stopping virtual machines, and controlling services
  • Configure local storage using partitions and logical volumes
  • Create and configure file systems and file system attributes, such as permissions, encryption, access control lists, and network file systems
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain systems, including software installation, update, and core services
  • Manage users and groups
  • Manage security, including basic firewall and SELinux configuration
  • Perform basic container management


WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your cyber expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Cybersecurity Engineer Principal must have:
Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science or
Experience: 5+ years of related experience
Technical skills: Be proficient in cybersecurity DoD policies and procedures. Certified IAM Level III and RHSA certification
Security clearance level: Secret
US citizenship required
Role requirements: Primarily work on-site, some travel may be required.

The likely salary range for this position is $119,000 - $161,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
