**This position will be physically located in Marshall Islands in support of LOGCAP**
The Quality Supervisor (Medical) monitors, evaluates, and ensures the quality, compliance, and safety of healthcare services provided in the medical treatment facility. This role ensures adherence to DoD policies, regulatory standards, accreditation requirements, and best practices, while identifying areas for improvement in patient care, clinical processes, and administrative operations.
Responsibilities

- Conduct audits and inspections of clinical, administrative, and support services to ensure compliance with established standards.
- Evaluate patient care, medical records, and operational processes to identify risks, deficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Monitor adherence to DoD policies, HIPAA regulations, and MTF protocols.
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives, corrective action plans, and process enhancements.
- Collect, analyze, and report quality data and performance metrics to management and leadership.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to address compliance issues and provide guidance for improvement.
- Participate in staff training, continuing education, and quality improvement programs.
- Assist in preparation for inspections, accreditation reviews, and regulatory audits.
- Document and maintain records of QA activities, findings, and corrective actions.
- Recommend best practices and process standardization to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency.

Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications
- Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. Use the guide below to determine education and experience for this position.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration, Nursing, Public Health, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in healthcare quality assurance, clinical audits, or compliance monitoring.
- Experience with DoD medical standards, Joint Commission, or similar accreditation standards preferred.
- Certification / Licensure:
- Certification in quality management or healthcare quality (e.g., Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ)) preferred but not required.
- Must have ability to obtain and maintain a Child Care National Agency Check (CNACI) clearance requiring US Citizenship or Permanent Residency.
- Additional Requirements:
- Must meet deployment, security, and credentialing requirements.
- Ability to work in austere or operational medical environments.
- Maintain professional standards and ethical conduct in all QA activities.
- Skills:
- Knowledge of healthcare quality assurance principles, regulatory compliance, and patient safety standards.
- Ability to conduct audits, evaluate processes, and analyze data effectively.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR), quality management systems, and standard office software.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a deployed or austere environment.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Working Conditions:
- Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 85 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, wet, tropical environment with average temperatures of 85 degrees in the summer months).
- Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.
- The worker is subject to environmental conditions. Protection from weather conditions, but not necessarily from temperature changes..
- Physical Requirements:
- Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.
- Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
- Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
