Your Opportunity
The Quality and Compliance Manager is responsible for the oversight of the Quality Management system processes and supporting programs at the Brisbane Component Maintenance Facility. The Quality and Compliance Manager you will report directly to the Director, Quality Jet Aviation Queensland.
Annual Salary up to AUD$120,000 + Super + up to 10% Annual Bonus
Your Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- The performance of internal audits in accordance with the site Audit Program, including JetSafe interfaces, distribution of findings and monitoring of overdue actions and effectiveness of responses
- The performance of investigations to determine the root cause, circumstances, and contributing factors and will develop recommendations and follow-up to prevent accident recurrence.
- Support the SQEHS Corporate teams with the development and/or delivery of regulatory or compliance-based training at the site and to monitor site performance with mandatory eLearning assignments.
- Supporting the various elements of the Jet Aviation Safety Management System including chairing the monthly site SQEHS forum.
- Maintain oversight of the approved suppliers for Component Maintenance at the Site.
- Promote the Aviation Safety Management System (SMS) initiatives drive the site performance outcomes of the Safety System scorecard indicators.
- Chair the site monthly SQEHS Forum and be responsible for all matters relating to Qualify and compliance at the site.
Successful candidate should have Knowledge and Experience in the following:
- Extensive knowledge of CASA, FAA, and other regulatory frameworks as appropriate.
- Knowledge of ISO Standards 9001-2015 and ISO9100 Manufacturing requirements and regulatory frameworks.
- Knowledge of Risk and Change Management and Safety Management System application and reporting
- Experienced Lead Auditor and Safety Investigations
- Experience in the application of Root Cause Analysis tools including MEDA and HFACS
- Working Knowledge of WHSE requirements.
What will help you succeed:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in component maintenance related industries with a preference for Aviation and including MRO, Component Maintenance within a CASA Regulatory framework
- Trade Qualifications in an engineering discipline or equivalent technical degree or diploma
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of Aviation regulatory requirements
- Extensive knowledge of Quality / Safety Management System application and reporting
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, ability to engage, influence change and facilitate results
- Customer service and safety focused
- Ability to work in a team environment and autonomously
- Strong initiative and ability to plan, organise and prioritise without direct supervision.
- Computer Literate and experience using Quality / Safety Management Systems or similar computer-based maintenance systems, together with Microsoft Office Suite programs
