Boeing South Carolina (BSC) has an exciting opportunity for a Project Management Specialist (Mid-Level or Senior) to support the 787 Systems Integration team in North Charleston, SC. This position supports managing projects that will define and integrate airplane systems across 787 aircraft.

All projects center on the translation of concepts and high-level requirements to specific architectures and operational specifications including the physical integration of electrical systems and components into our complex airplanes.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Mid-Level & Senior Project Management Specialists. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Managing projects in 787 Systems involving development and qualification / certification and airplane test integration of software and electronic hardware.

  • Develops project plans and deliverables, directs all project phases, and acts as primary contact to project stakeholders.

  • Participates in or develops mechanisms for establishing, monitoring, and integrating project elements, product configuration, and communications concerning change management processes and decisions.

  • Performs project management activities in accordance with accepted project management standards.

  • Coordinates the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project team, finance, planning, and scheduling and line management.

  • Uses trend, variance analyses and risk assessments and mitigations to develop plans or to recommend change.

  • Negotiates project changes and incorporates changes into project control systems to maintain work statements, cost and schedule baselines.

  • Transitions projects to customer for on-going support.

  • Performs project close-out and documents lessons learned.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • 4 or more years of Project Management Experience

  • 4 or more years supporting both internal and external customers across multiple disciplines

  • Experience working on multiple projects concurrently

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Level 4: 8 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment

  • Problem solving and analytical skills

  • Experience working within supply chain organization or familiarity with supply chain processes

  • Desire to understand engineering schedules and challenges

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary Pay Range for Mid-Level (Level 3): $94,350 – 127,650

Summary Pay Range for Mid-Level (Level 4): $118,150 - 159,850
