Description:

You will be the Project Engineer Sr - F-35 for the F-35 Airframe Control Surfaces and Edges Design Team which is responsible for delivering cutting‑edge capabilities to domestic and international customers.



What You Will Be Doing


As the Project Engineer Sr - F-35 you will be responsible for guiding the airframe control‑surface and edges design effort from concept through production, retrofit, upgrades, and repairs.



“Your responsibilities will include:”



  • Lead cross‑functional teams to define airframe control‑surface requirements and design solutions.

  • Develop and validate engineering approaches for production, retrofit, and upgrade programs.

  • Manage technical documentation and coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

  • Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions for design issues.

  • Support test planning, execution, and data analysis for airframe modifications.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.


Basic Qualifications:
- Project Management or Project Engineering experience
- Must be familiar with Earned Value Management concepts and application
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, including Access, Excel and Project
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering technical discipline such as Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical or Civil Engineering
Desired Skills:
- Configuration Management experience
- Familiarity or experience with FAR, Part 15 (TINA) compliant proposal requirements
- Functional estimating experience in engineering, materials, operations, and/or Sustainment
- Experience using proposal pricing systems or BOE tools such as, PROPRICER, APTS, or BOE other tool usage
- Experience with PDM, Catia, VAS
- Experience with Engineering Bill of Material (EBOM) product structure
- Experience in Tableau
- Proven communication and leadership skill
- Experience in Earned Value Management
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
