You will be the Facilities Project Engineer for the Facilities Engineering Team which is responsible for delivering reliable, secure, and efficient facility infrastructure solutions.



What You Will Be Doing


As the Facilities Project Engineer - Level 2 you will be responsible for translating customer needs and regulatory requirements into robust facility designs that support classified laboratory environments.


Your responsibilities will include:



  • Design and review electrical power and cooling systems, including single‑phase, three‑phase, and multiple‑input configurations.

  • Perform heat‑load calculations and develop preliminary facility layouts based on construction blueprints and panel schedules.

  • Ensure compliance with Government Facilities Security Documentation (e.g., ICD‑705) and industry standards such as the National Electrical Code and National Fire Codes.

  • Collaborate with customers, management, and LM Facilities to define project goals, financial constraints, and long‑range planning strategies.

  • Prepare and evaluate project plans, proposals, and cost estimates.

You are a collaborative, detail‑oriented engineer with strong analytical skills and a proven ability to interpret complex construction documents. Your background includes hands‑on experience with electrical and mechanical systems, familiarity with classified facility security requirements, and a commitment to delivering safe, compliant solutions on schedule and within budget.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.


This position is in Fort Worth, TX Discover Fort Worth.


Basic Qualifications:
• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline such as Construction Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or at least 5 years of professional/job experience including a minimum of 2 years’ facilities and or construction related experience.
Desired Skills:
• Considered a self-starter, familiar with MS Excel, Word, Power Point, MS VISIO, CATIA, or similar drawing programs.

• Experience with LM Facilities related tools such as DRDB, LM Buildings, and Maximo would be considered a plus.

• Has demonstrated the ability to work in a demanding and fast paced environment and possesses excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.

• Demonstrates good project management and organizational skills
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
