We are seeking a detail-orientated archive digitization specialist to support Headquarters United States Air Force Strategic Deterrence and Nuclear Integration, Nuclear Systems Integration Division (AF/A10XC). Qualified candidate will assist in the inventory, organization, and digitization of legacy archive materials. This role will focus on preserving critical documentation by transforming physical assets into secure, tagged digital content for easy retrieval and management. Work will be performed onsite in the Arlington, VA area (Pentagon).

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Digitize archive materials by converting them into electronic formats using scanning and imaging tools while ensuring a consistent standard of quality.
  • Develop and apply metadata tagging systems to support easy retrieval and alignment with organizational indexing standards.
  • Ensure digitized files comply with applicable DoD records management policies and secure handling procedures.
  • Support correspondence management activities tied to archive materials as required.
  • Execute tasks with meticulous attention to detail and ensure compliance with privacy and security requirements.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • U.S. citizenship and an active Top Secret with SCI eligibility.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with data management, analytic, and MS Office products.
  • Demonstrated expertise in DoD records management practices, policies, and procedures, including secure file handling.

Education:

  • BA/BS and eight years of experience or MA/MS and six years of experience.

Desired Experience and Skills:

  • Understanding of Air Force organization and processes.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint and Task Management Tool.
  • DoD staff or Headquarters support experience.
  • MS Project, MS Visio.
