The Production Coordinator plays a vital role within SpaceX's manufacturing and production teams. Production Coordinators support all production leadership staff to ensure the on-time delivery of components and assemblies for Starlink Aviation, Starlink Ground Mobility, and other Starlink Enterprise applications.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate and execute the timely shipment of customer kits containing aviation hardware, ensuring all orders are prepared, packed, and dispatched to meet customer installation schedules and delivery commitments.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail when packing shipments to guarantee accuracy of contents, proper labeling, documentation, and compliance with packaging standards.
- Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency to consistently meet weekly shipping targets and complete assigned work allocations on schedule.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers (MEs) to maintain accurate and up-to-date Engineering Models (EMs); proactively identify and flag any discrepancies in Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Safely move and transport hardware throughout the factory as required to support production flow.
- Provide flexible support to production operations, including cycle counting, kitting, and delivery of parts between work cells as needed.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
- 1+ years of coordination, inventory or scheduling experience in a manufacturing or administrative environment.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- 3+ years of experience handling parts in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience in aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, or electronic manufacturing environments.
- Strong computer skills, familiar with the full suite of MS Office products.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience in organizing files and documents.
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems.
- SQL and Tableau experience.
- APICS certification.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be willing to work overtime, weekends as needed.
- Estimated shift hours: 1st Shift: 5:30 AM - 4:00 PM, 2nd shift: 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM.
- Able to stand for extended periods - 8 hours minimum.
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Pay range:
Production Coordinator/Level 1: $22.00 - $25.00/hour
Production Coordinator/Level 2: $24.50 - $29.00/hour
Production Coordinator/Level 3: $27.00 - $32.00/hour
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
