Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Supplier Program Management Specialist(Level 6) to join our Starliner team in either Kennedy Space Center, Florida; Houston, Texas; or Huntsville, Alabama.
Position Responsibilities:
- Establishes technical and business direction and processes to meet financial, delivery and product conformity targets
- Develops and leads company procurement and contractual strategies for key suppliers, and programs
- Provides technical oversight and guidance of strategic supplier plans
- Directs the development of recovery plans
- Establishes technical and business guidance to meet financial, delivery and product conformity targets
- Identifies strategic work movement projects and plan elements
- Integrates company sourcing strategies, procurement and program activities
- Works directly with strategic customers to develop concepts and requirements for future business opportunities
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Shift:
This position is for 1st shift.
NASA Access:
The Kennedy Space Center location requires the ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.
This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Technical Bachelor's, Master's or a PhD degree. (A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study)
- More than 5 years of experience in root cause analysis and Corrective action
- More than 5 years of experience managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services
- More than 5 years of experience working directly with suppliers or supplier management
- More than 5 years of experience working with Supplier Management, Supply Chain, and/or Procurement practices and processes
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- More than 3 years of experience creating, interpreting and/or enforcing technical requirements
- More than 3 years of experience working with suppliers in a technical capacity
- More than 3 years of experience leading test campaigns
- More than 3 years of experience briefing customers and leadership

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range (FL, AL): $161,500 - $199,500
Summary pay range (TX): $172,550 - $213,150
