Northrop Grumman Space Systems is looking for a Principal OR Sr. Principal Control Account - Project Manager you will be supporting systems using current technologies and others yet to come. We are seeking team members who have a thirst for knowledge, approach each day with optimism, and have a relentless drive to solve complex problems.

This position can be based onsite at our Colorado Springs, CO (preferred) or Bellevue, NE facility. 

  

As a Control Account - Project Manager you will be able to:  

  • Establish budgetary baselines for Engineering functions with the DARC program through Control Account Management (CAM) best practices

  • Manage, track and report earned value metrics

  • Support program integrated baseline reviews

  • Work closely with engineering and program function leaders to forecast labor

  • Work closely with engineering and program functions leaders to accurately manage integrated master schedules

  • Manage and report status on program schedules 

  • Assess Software project issues/risks and develop resolution plan

  • Prepare Contract Data Requirements Lists for necessary reporting for the Program Team

  • Support Engineering Change Proposals by authoring Basis of Estimates and other proposal activity

  • Prepare monthly Business Rhythm EVM artifacts and reporting 

  • Support labor and material program control accounts.

This requisition may be filled at a higher job grade based on the qualifications listed below. This requisition may be filled as either Principal or a Sr. Principal Control Account - Project Manager.

Basic Qualifications

  • Must be willing and able to obtain and maintain US Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance, but not required to start.

  • Principal: Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience; 3 years with a Master's degree. An additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Sr. Principal: Bachelor's degree and 8 years of relevant experience; 6 years with a Master's degree. An additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Experience with cost plus and firm fixed price contract vehicles

  • Material account earned value management experience 

  • Labor account earned value management experience

  • Subcontract labor account earned value management experience

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and practices

  • Ability to develop and manage schedule tasks

  • Experience with integration of major subcontract schedules within prime integrated master schedule

  • Ability to use Microsoft Project

  • Experience creating Basis of Estimates and Proposals

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelors of Science Degree

  • Active Secret/Top Secret clearance

  • Risk management experience

  • Earned Value Management Certification

  • Project Management Professional Certification

  • Software discipline organizational experience

  • Experience with the management of Subcontract values greater than 30 million dollars

  • Experience with managing labor cost accounts greater than 10 million dollars

  • Experience with management of Software Development projects including the production and delivery of CDRLs

  • Previous experience as a Scrum Master

  • Proficiency in Atlassian tools (JIRA and Confluence) 

Primary Level Salary Range: $85,600.00 - $128,400.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $106,800.00 - $160,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
