What you’ll get to do:

We are looking for you to join our team as a Project Manager based out of Warner Robins, GA to support the ALQ-161 Hardware section. This position is 100% onsite.

This role supports an existing team that oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, production control, engineering, business management, and operations amongst others. The ALQ-161 Hardware section supports the ongoing programmatic requirements surrounding electronic warfare capabilities across the U.S. Air Force’s active fleet.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years’ experience in project and/or program management; a Master’s degree and 3 years’ experience in project and/or program management; or PhD and 1 year experience in project and/or program management
  • Experience leading projects, tracking turn-around-times, drafting CDRLs, crafting briefing slides, and managing tasks as assigned by the Program Manager
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance (not required to obtain before hire)
  • Familiarity with Workload Forecast Tools and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Project
  • Directly influences internal production schedule and supply chain strategy by understanding customer demand and contract terms and conditions
  • Functions as a customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance
  • Oversees cost reduction/continuous improvement initiatives
  • Responsible for planning and program performance addressing cost, schedule, technical performance, and quality of a work package
  • Understands program financial targets and supports the Program Manager in achieving financial goals and forecasts
  • Supports Program Manager in new business proposal efforts

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with electronic warfare/aerospace hardware sustainment
  • Experience with briefing, public speaking, and communicating across functional areas of expertise (engineering, operations, finance, etc)
  • Providing analysis on raw data input and communicating the impact to the project  
  • The ability to identify and address program impacts through a systemic, proactive approach to issues and problem resolution that identifies, monitors, and promptly resolves conflicts
  • Previous work with drafting DoD proposals

Primary Level Salary Range: $81,400.00 - $122,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
