Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal Security Analyst. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) Ground Base Strategic Deterrent program.

What You’ll Get To Do: 

You will support Special Projects as an ACPSO with security compliance and execution of the national industrial security program which includes, but is not limited to, handling of classified and/or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment, implementation of federal security regulations that apply to company operations. Will obtain ruling, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies. Will prepare manuals outlining regulations for subcontractors and establishes procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitors access to restricted records and materials.  Will investigates security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.  

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree with 5 years of related experience, or Masters with 3 years of related experience or 1 years with a PhD; an additional 4 years may be considered in lieu of degree

  • Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance or enrolled in the DoD continuous vetting program at time of application.  Current must be current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

  • Experience interpreting and applying security regulations, standards, and policies

  • Experience supporting security incident investigations and administering or reviewing access to sensitive information, systems, or facilities

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM) and DoD 5205.07 manuals.

  • Familiarity with Security Information Management System (SIMS). 

  • Experience with JADE and DISS. 

  • Prior SAP Experience

  • Experience with SAP inspections and a record of Satisfactory compliance ratings 

  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.

  • Ability to adapt/function in high performing Team. 

  • Meticulous record-keeping and responsible for accurate data input into multiple databases/spreadsheets.

  • Excellent writing skills, and organizational skills enabling effective communications.

  • Organized and efficient at time management.

  • Computer and desktop Microsoft office software products experience.

Primary Level Salary Range: $81,400.00 - $122,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
