Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal Cyber Systems Engineer (Level 3) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Test & Evaluation team based out of Edwards AFB, CA.
As a Principal Cyber Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining the smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators, interacting with users and evaluating system performance. The successful candidate will develop and monitor policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
Key Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space.
- Maintain availability and security compliance of Information Systems in a complex simulation environment.
- Ensure systems adhere to program configuration and data management plans
- Ensure adherence to Cyber Operations Policy and Procedures
- Establish strict program control processes to ensure mitigation of risks and support certification and accreditation of systems
- Periodically conduct a complete review of system audits and monitor corrective actions
Basic Qualifications:
Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline and 5 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Ph.D. in a STEM discipline and 1 year of related professional/military experience.
Must have an active DoD Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance, prior to the commencement of employment.
Must be willing and able to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status
Must possess a current DoD 8570 Level 2 Certification (i.e. Security+ CE or equivalent).
Demonstrated experience in the managing operating systems, e.g., (Windows Sever, desktop environments, Linux, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications :
- Professional experience in Cybersecurity/Information Assurance
- Experience with Cloud environments and CSPs
- Understanding of enterprise-level computing platforms involving virtualization, distribution and high availability
- Experience operating and configuring security relevant tools such as Splunk and Nessus
- Experience operating and configuring security relevant tools such as Splunk, Tenable Nessus, and Antivirus solutions
- Experience with Active Directory, LDAP, DNS, and Group Policy
- Experience with Redhat systems administration and Ansible automation
- Experience with Cisco switch management and multicast network protocol
- Experience with Broadcom/VMware Virtual Cloud Foundations and Vmware VCenter
