Roles include managing customer relationships, service portfolio and catalog management, software engineering and development, data/AI engineering, IT systems operations, and use case intake and analytics for DoW enterprise-scale mission objectives expected in Spring/Summer 2026.   
Positions are contingent pending contract award. 

 

Place of Performance: Arlington, Virginia. Some work may be performed remotely, subject to Government approval. 

Position Overview 

The Portal Database Administrator – ServiceNow platform administration supports the War Data Platform’s (WDP) operational service portal by administering the backend data structures that power customer onboarding, service request intake, workflow routing, and automation-driven operational processes. This role administers ServiceNow platform data constructs (tables, catalog data, ACLs, transforms, integrations). This role ensures that the portal’s data foundations remain accurate, efficient, accessible, and secure across all WDP enclaves. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Manage the WDP CDCC, providing a range of knowledge management and custom program management applications to the SAIC team, partners, and customers.   

  • Support the Transition-In.  

  • Manage and maintain the Service Catalog, including catalog items, categories, variables, and ordering workflows 

  • Configure and update user roles, groups, and access control lists (ACLs) to ensure proper platform security 

  • Support the creation and maintenance of persona-based catalog views to ensure users see only relevant services and items 

  • Monitor and manage platform health, scheduled jobs, and system logs 

  • Coordinate and execute platform upgrades, patches, and hotfixes in alignment with change management processes 

  • Manage CMDB data integrity, including regular audits and reconciliation of configuration items 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Competencies 

  • Experience administering databases or backend data structures supporting enterprise workflow or service management systems. 

  • Familiarity with ServiceNow or a similar platform used for workflow automation, service catalogs, and ticketing. 

  • Understanding of data modeling, schema management, data integrity, indexing, and performance tuning. 

  • Ability to support automated operational workflows, including approvals, routing logic, SLA tracking, and automated task generation. 

  • Knowledge of multi-enclave operational requirements and the data dependencies associated with user onboarding and access control. 

  • Understanding of access control, auditability, and least-privilege principles described in the TOR. 

  • Strong ability to collaborate across engineering, operations, cyber, and customer-facing teams. 

  • Strong documentation and communication skills for supporting portal operations and workflow evolution. 

Qualifications

Bachelors and 5 years of related experience, Masters and 3 years of experience, or PhD 

Certifications and Additional Expertise Requirements: 

  • ServiceNow Expertise and Certification 

  • Service Catalog design; table/schema design for portal data; ACL/role modeling; transform maps & data import/export; Flow Designer/Workflow routing; CMDB relationship hygiene; integration patterns (MID Server/API); performance optimization; audit/readiness artifacts for RMF control families touching platform data. 

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
