Basic Qualifications

Requires a Bachelors degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field. Also requires 2+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree and 6 months of job-related experience.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a candidate to fulfill an Experienced PaaS Developer for TCS. This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nations core defense/intelligence services and systems. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.

What you bring to the table:

• Ability to develop innovative product solutions that meet customer requirements
• Capable of collaborating in a multidisciplinary team including hardware, software, and cyber-security experts
• The ability to support the program with the following:
• Excellent Red Hat Linux Administration and deployment background with a working knowledge of systems
• Subject matter experience with OpenStack, Docker, Kubernetes, or other container orchestration/PaaS/Cloud technologies
• Resolve complex issues and conduct research spikes
• Commitment to ongoing professional development

What sets you apart:

• Kubernetes Subject Matter Expert, as well as experience in PodMan or Docker
• Excellent communication skills; effective presenter with both internal and external audiences
• Knowledge of technology trends and the ability to advocate for new ideas, products and process improvements
• Ability to effectively handle complex assignments and work through challenging problems with external and internal stakeholders
• Creative thinking with the ability to effectively multi-task

Workplace Options:
This position is On-Site (with Hybrid options after possible after 6 months).
While on-site, you will be a part of the Progeny Manassas facility on Ashton Avenue.

Combined Salary Range

USD $100,219.00 - USD $111,180.00 /Yr.
