Job Summary:

In this role, you will support counsel with the review of contracts, prepare responses to due diligence inquiries, prepare first drafts of legal documents, and lead drafting and review of certain legal documents. You will review outside counsel invoices and assist in outside counsel budget management. Your attention to detail and communication will contribute to efficiency of legal department activities.

This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and will require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership.#LI-SM2

Major Responsibilities:

  • Support business unit attorneys in drafting legal documentation and performing legal and factual research.
  • Review, negotiate (with legal direction), and track non-disclosure agreements.
  • Identify relevant jurisdictions where potential work is to be performed and cross-check and validate that appropriate licenses are in place.
  • Maintain contract templates, ensuring appropriate forms of agreement are used.
  • Manage key business documentation including executed contracts.
  • Support development of and compliance with internal protocols and procedures.
  • Support the legal team by handling requests for information or documentation from business unit personnel.
  • Complete special projects and other assignments as requested.
  • Maintain and properly handle confidential information.
  • Prepare written reports as requested.
  • Coordinate department level operational matters, such as monthly newsletter, knowledge management database, etc.
  • Perform due diligence on potential business partners or subcontractors.
  • Prepare Power Point presentations and trainings

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.
  • Minimum three years’ work experience in a large international law firm or corporation.
  • Minimum five years’ work experience with in-house legal team.

  • Well-honed drafting skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with people at all levels within the company.
  • Team player/collaborator and self-starter.
  • Strong technology skills is required.
  • Must be prepared to travel on an occasional, as needed basis.
