Position is located in Brunswick. Experience interpreting G550 blueprints is preferred but not required.


Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in engineering or a related curriculum required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Advanced degree in engineering, or related curriculum preferred. 10 years in the specific technical discipline or 15 years broad engineering experience in several technical disciplines, or 8 years in the specific technical discipline with Masters degree, or 6 years in the specific technical discipline with PhD.

Position Purpose:

Guide the successful completion of major manufacturing programs, or conceive research in areas of considerable scope and complexity supporting the development and production of Gulfstream products and services.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:
  1. For manufacturing process to which individual is assigned: provide and maintain detailed work instructions, drive quality improvements, efficiency improvements, material presentation enhancements, manage the daily work plan, provide metrics for quality and schedule performance, and coordinate engineering and tooling changes as required. to meet Operations goals.
  2. Select appropriate methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to resolve complex manufacturing and engineering issues aimed at process development and improvement in the manufacturing areas.
  3. Is consulted extensively by associates and others as a recognized authority on application of manufacturing and engineering principles in the manufacturing area. Provide technical assistance and training to Operations Engineers.
  4. Anticipate and resolve complex issues within the manufacturing process in creative and effective ways, developing standards and guidelines for diverse engineering and manufacturing activities that affect the successful manufacture of the aircraft, installation of the systems or performance of the aircraft.
  5. Approach to problem solving balances product quality, cost and performance to schedule.
  6. Work without appreciable direction; work is reviewed from a long-range perspective for desired results.
  7. Exercise latitude in determining technical objectives of assignments, and make decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative.

Additional Functions:
  1. Maintain a current knowledge of developments in the field of specialty and/or other related aircraft fields in order to recommend innovations to improve quality and effectiveness of company product. .

Perform other duties as assigned.

  1. The level of technical skill and abilities appropriate for this grade will be established by each discipline.
This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
