The On Wing Support Dallas Quality Manager is a key site quality leader, responsible for driving a strong culture of safety and quality, leading robust root cause and corrective action (RCCA), and meeting critical functional, business, and company objectives. Reporting to the Global On Wing Support Quality Leader, this role requires a hands-on, visible leader who can influence at all levels, solve complex issues affecting the business, and execute the long-term business plan to drive quality excellence across the organization. The Quality Manager will work closely with the broader OWS team (including Global Quality) and a cross-functional team from other organizations.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead as the primary interface with regulatory agencies, specifically FAA and EASA, representing the site with confidence, transparency, and accountability.
  • Develop and own the new GE site’s Quality Management System , ensuring it meets all regulatory and business requirements, and is understood, followed, and continuously improved by the team.
  • Build and sustain a “Culture of Quality” by setting clear expectations, modeling desired behaviors, holding the team accountable, and recognizing proactive quality actions.
  • Provide strong leadership for RCCA by:
    • Leading structured root cause investigations for significant nonconformances and escapes
    • Ensuring corrective and preventive actions are effective, sustainable, and verified
    • Driving standardization and best practice sharing with other GE Aerospace and OWS shops
  • Oversee and perform internal audits locally and at remote locations, ensuring findings are translated into clear actions, owners, and timelines, and that closures are rigorously verified.
  • Lead the Quality training plan for all staff, ensuring training needs are identified, curricula are developed, and completion and effectiveness are tracked and reinforced.
  • Partner with the Business Leader and support teams to maintain and improve the GE Aerospace Flight Deck Management System, ensuring alignment between quality, operations, and business objectives.
  • Own the proactive quality framework for reducing quality risk at the shop, including risk assessments, trend analysis, and preventive actions driven from data and RCCA learnings.
  • Use data to lead by establishing and monitoring key Quality metrics (e.g., defects, escapes, audit findings, RCCA cycle time), leading regular reviews, and driving actions to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
  • Coach and develop the team in problem-solving, RCCA tools, and quality mindset, building capability at all levels of the organization.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Aeronautical/Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent technical degree/license.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the aviation industry.
  • 5+ years of experience working with aviation regulatory agencies.
  • Knowledge of FAA FAR 145 procedures or equivalent required.
  • Qualified auditor or demonstrated auditing experience required.
  • 5+ years of MRO experience is essential; engine test knowledge is beneficial to this role long term.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams through investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective/preventive actions.
