Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers (MS&B) has an exciting opportunity and an immediate need on the United States Air Force (USAF) E-7A Program for Mission Systems Computing Hardware Engineers to join the team in Tukwila, WA.  The Mission Systems Team is responsible for design, procurement and integration of the full Mission Systems capability onboard the E-7A.

The E-7 is the world’s most advanced, capable and reliable Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) platform, having proven itself in operations around the world.  The aircraft is designed to track multiple airborne and maritime targets simultaneously.  It can provide situational awareness and direct other assets such as fighter jets and warships.  The E-7A program is an important program for Boeing with significant growth potential.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Mid-Level, Lead or Senior Level Engineers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops and documents complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
  • Designs hardware, software, and interface specifications.
  • Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
  • Assists in monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
  • Solves problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.
  • Researches specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.  Domestic travel could be required up to 10% of the time.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
  • 3+ years of experience with mission systems hardware.
  • Experience with FAA certification.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Level 4: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Level 5: 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with Mission Computing Hardware.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range for Mid-Level level (Level 3): $119,850 - $162,150

Summary pay range for Lead level (Level 4): $146,200 - $197,800

Summary pay range for Senior level (Level 5): $176,800 - $239,200
