Lockheed Martin is seeking a Software Engineer for the F-35 Mission Data File Release (MDFR) project. The F-35 Mission Data File Release (MDFR) tool is used by our F-35 customer Reprogramming Labs to encrypt and field Mission Data File (MDF) sets, which are pivotal to the execution of successful missions and overall operation of the F-35.

The selected candidate will assume a role on the MDFR software development team developing software applications in support of MDF encryption and fielding needs. This positions offers meaningful and exciting technical work spanning both software development and supporting integration and test for a multi-site team. They will help refine processes for encryption and release of MDFs, ensuring MDFs meet associated Security, Export, and Foreign Disclosure requirements, communicating concerns and assisting with root cause analysis as needed. The selected candidate should have software development experience, stepping in and assisting with MDFR software deployment operations as needed and providing hands on assistance with end user installation and operation.

Candidate must be able to obtain a clearance and must process for a company-sponsored secret clearance prior to start.

Basic Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, a related degree or equivalent experience
-Experience designing, developing and maintaining, front-end and back-end software for a microservice or service-oriented architecture based software application within a CI/CD pipeline.
-Experience with the software development process in a team environment (peer reviews, unit testing, configuration management, defect tracking)
Desired Skills:
-Experience with all of the following software testing principles; unit, component, integration, contract and end-to-end.
-Experience developing software in Java, Python and SQL
-Experience writing test plans and strategies for software-level testing
-Experience with software test automation tooling (Junit, Jacoco, Jest, Selenium, Cucumber, or similar applications)
-Experience using GitLab (or Jenkins) and Bitbucket
- Mission Data File Generation and the Mission Data Update Lifecycle
-Hands on experience with the operations of RF systems.
-Experience with Agile software development
-Experience with Foreign Military Exploitations (FME)
-Strong technical leadership
-Strong oral written communication skills
-Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
