Job Description

Role Overview:

  • Own contract quality and compliance requirements (CQR) across programs and products
    · Establish and enforce quality systems, metrics, and reporting
    · Drive RCCA across internal quality functions (SQE, HQE/QC)
    · Ensure alignment to customer, regulatory, and program requirements
    · Lead strategic quality initiatives to scale production and reliability

Responsibilities:

  • Contract Quality & Compliance (CQR)
    • Own interpretation and flowdown of contract quality requirements
    • Ensure compliance to customer, regulatory, and internal standards
    • Maintain audit readiness and support customer / government audits
    • Ensure documentation, traceability, and configuration control meet requirements
  • Quality Systems & Metrics
    • Define and maintain quality KPIs (yield, defects, escapes, delivery quality)
    • Establish dashboards and reporting for internal and executive visibility
    • Ensure consistent data capture and integrity across systems (ERP/MES)
    • Drive accountability to metrics across SQE and HQE
  • RCCA & Issue Management
    • Own root cause and corrective action framework across the organization
    • Lead high-severity and systemic RCA efforts
    • Ensure containment, corrective action, and effectiveness validation
    • Drive closure of recurring or systemic quality issues
  • Cross-Functional Quality Leadership
    • Act as central coordination point across SQE, HQE, Manufacturing, and Engineering
    • Ensure consistent application of quality standards and processes
    • Align teams on priorities, risks, and corrective actions
  • Strategic Quality Initiatives
    • Identify gaps in quality systems, processes, and organizational capability
    • Implement scalable processes for production readiness and growth
    • Drive continuous improvement in reliability, yield, and compliance

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering or related field
  • 8–12+ years in quality, reliability, manufacturing, or mission assurance roles
  • Experience owning quality systems in a regulated environment (AS9100 / ISO 9001)
  • Strong experience with RCCA (8D, 5-Why, DMAIC)
  • Experience managing quality metrics and driving accountability across teams

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience with defense contracts and CQR / compliance requirements
  • Experience supporting audits (customer, regulatory, internal)
  • Familiarity with both supplier and production quality (SQE + QE/QC scope)
  • Experience scaling quality systems in high-rate manufacturing
  • Six Sigma Green/Black Belt

Salary Range: $140,000 - $190,000

The stated compensation range reflects only the targeted base compensation range and excludes additional earnings such as bonus, equity, and benefits.
