Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Level Procurement Agent to join our dynamic team in El Segundo, CA.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Integrates program, customer, product and in-service strategies into source selection, negotiation and contracting strategies

  • Conducts risk, issues and opportunities management

  • Manages supply and demand, schedules, supplier quality, delivery and financial performance

  • Initiates and executes supplier improvement activities and integrates results into contracting strategies

  • Prepares, negotiates and leads all elements of the contract, including negotiation strategies, pricing and contract terms and conditions

  • Leads or participates in proposal analysis to fulfill customer and program strategic requirements

  • Ensures compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements

  • Communicates across functions and programs to manage risks, issues and performance to plan

  • Participates in supply chain process improvement teams and identifies improvement opportunities for potential integration into supplier contract strategies

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years’ experience working with Supplier Management, Supply Chain, and/or Procurement practices and processes

  • 3+ years’ experience with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

  • Experience working both independently and in team environments

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • Experience drafting, negotiating and executing complex contracts and subcontracts

  • Experience in negotiating contracts or managing supplier performance

  • Ability to excel at unique problem solving and multi-tasking of urgent issues

  • Experience working in fast paced environment with strict deadlines

Work Location:

This position is hybrid. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.  This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.
