Description:You will be the Mechanical Design Engineer for the Precision Strike Missile (PrSM) Program. Our team designs and builds the next generation of kinetic strike missiles, turning innovative concepts into flight ready hardware. We partner with suppliers, production planners, and global supply chain partners to deliver high performance, reliable systems at a fast production rate.
As the Mechanical Design Engineer you will drive the end to end mechanical development of PrSM components. You’ll create 3D models, release production ready drawings and BOMs, and act as the liaison between engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams. Your work will directly support missile and pod integration activities at our Camden, AR facility and help resolve tough design challenges with creative, data driven solutions. Your responsibilities will include:
• Generate detailed 3D models and assemblies in CREO that meet functional, mass budget, and manufacturability requirements.
• Produce, review, and release 2D drawings, bill of materials (BOM) packages, and Change Notice (CN) documentation for production use.
• Perform tolerance stack up and tolerance analysis studies to ensure proper fit, form, and function across all mechanical interfaces.
• Collaborate with a diverse group of subject matter experts, suppliers, and operations teams to address design issues and accelerate resolution.
• Provide ongoing technical support to Production Planning, Operations, and Global Supply Chain, including answering queries, reviewing shop floor changes, and updating design data.
• Lead or contribute to Material Review Board Engineering (MRBE) quality notifications and engineer supplier deviation waivers when needed.
• Support missile and pod integration activities, including on site work in Camden, AR, and occasional travel to supplier facilities.
• Utilize Microsoft Office tools to maintain clear, up to date project documentation and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Mentor junior designers and champion best practice design standards, model based definition, and continuous improvement initiatives.

This position is in Dallas.
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace
Engineering from an accredited university with a
minimum of 5 years of professional experience.
Proficient in PTC CREO and Windchill.
Experience with Geometric Dimensioning &
Tolerancing
Experienced with Microsoft Office.
Candidate should possess a DoD Secret level
clearance or be able to obtain one.
Desired Skills:
Willingness to occasionally travel.
Project management experience.
Experience in missile design, production support,
and/or additive manufacturing (AM).
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
