Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Manager Engineering 1 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA.
Position Overview: The Aircraft Advanced Design Directorate within Research and Advanced Design has a need for a Manager Engineering 1, Aircraft Advanced Design Integration. This individual will perform engineering integration tasks across multiple Aircraft Advanced Design projects spanning broad domains including integration of new Advanced Aircraft Design capabilities and tools. The successful candidate will coordinate the standup and execution of new Aircraft Advanced Design projects and continued execution of ongoing projects, as well as lead special projects as directed.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in STEM and 5 years, OR a Master of Science in STEM and 3 years of engineering experience which may include relevant engineering internships
Proven ability to lead Advanced Design teams
Complete understanding of advanced design methods to include configuration, performance and sizing, aerodynamics, stability and control, structures, propulsion, and subsystems
Complete familiarity with state-of-the art vehicle design tools and methods to include multidisciplinary analysis and optimization and generative design
Software programming proficiency to include Python, MATLAB, Arduino, Java, RobotC, and C++
Experience with advanced aircraft projects spanning low to high speed and altitude domains
Active DoD interim -Top Secret clearance with current background investigation or currently enrolled in Continuous Evaluation
Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
Accessed to at least one Special Access Program
Experience participating in customer engagements and workshops
Experience with hands-on projects (design, manufacture/build, fly)
Experience with unmanned/uncrewed systems
