Unique Skills:

The Logistics Specialist I will be a part of our of our customer support distribution center. Our specialists work to ensure that parts and supplies for our aircrafts are being distributed on time in order to meet our customers' needs. The shift position can change and we do ask for flexibility with shift changes with limited notice. Position is an entry level position that is best suited for someone looking to create a create a career in the logistics field. Some experience in logistics is a plus.

The job application will outline the shift confirmation. If there is ONE shift that you clearly can NOT work, please indicate in the questionnaire.

Priority shifts are:

  • 10:00am-6:30pm M-F (Mid Shift)
  • 2:00pm-10:30pm (M-F) (2nd Shift)
  • 10:00pm-8:30am M-TH (3rd Shift)
  • 7:00am-7:30pm (Fri,Sat, Sun)

Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:30pm granted if there is availability at time of interview. Priority is given to the previously mentioned shifts.


Education and Experience Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required. Entry level. Experience with inventory systems preferred.. Valid Drivers License required.

Position Purpose:

Under moderate supervision, perform a variety of material handling, inventory coordination, and distribution tasks to support manufacturing, service centers, and logistics operations. Ensure timely and accurate movement, tracking, and documentation of materials in compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:
  1. Process pick tickets and material requests by pulling, issuing, and transporting parts to support manufacturing, service centers, spare parts sales, backshops and/or distribution centers .
  2. Operate material handling equipment and company vehicles to move materials between departments and designated locations .
  3. Unload freight and verify paperwork .
  4. Maintain inventory accuracy through proper data entry and use of inventory management systems (i.e. SAP, Corridor, etc.) .
  5. Track parts to support schedules and customer requirements .
  6. Demonstrate a commitment to safety and quality throughout daily operations by following established procedures, identifying potential hazards, and ensuring all work meets regulatory and company standards .
  7. Handle Dangerous Goods per standards .
  8. Assist with inspection and tagging .
  9. Elevate discrepancies with clear communication and follow-up actions .
  10. Maintain clean work environment .
  11. Participate in improvement initiatives .

Additional Functions:
  1. Ability to obtain certification to operate material handling equipment and meet all training requirements .
  2. Support Lean and sustainability initiatives .
  3. Learn and apply Lean concepts .
  4. Perform other duties as assigned .

Other Requirements:
  1. Must have a valid drivers license.
  2. Must be able to obtain certification to operate a forklift and other material handling equipment.
  3. Able to comply with FAA Regulations and Quality procedures on documentation.
  4. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  5. Must be able to work all shifts and weekends.
This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
