Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Buyer position will report to the Procurement Lead. Responsibilities will include:

Sourcing and awarding purchase orders.

Will maintain CPSR audit ready Procurement files. Your Procurement tasks will be assigned to you by the Procurement Lead, and he/she will set your priorities.

Adhere to the Amentum Policies and Procedures and the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).

Administrative duties as required.

Maybe tased to work proposals, and additional duties and projects as assigned.

The Buyer may be available within 2 hours to meet on the installation with APLS Leadership to discuss problem areas.

QUALIFICATIONS

A minimum of (1) one year Procurement experience preferred.

1 year experience working on a U.S. Government contract is preferred.

Current experience working in MAXIMO or Cost Point is preferred.

Bilingual English/Spanish is required.

Excellent organizational, attention to details and time management skills

Strong computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Office, Word and Excel

Valid driver's license preferred

Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of employment is required.

OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Experience providing excellent customer service in supporting contract responsibilities.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules and under pressure of deadlines while maintaining performance standards.

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.

Employees must be willing and able to perform regular job requirements in this environment. Employees must be willing and able to perform physical activities including, but not limited to, heavy lifting and moving of items, parts, assemblies, and equipment up to the safety regulation maximum; climbing in and out of equipment; crawling; and working outdoors.
