Job Description

The SAP Solution Architect for HR and Finance is a highly experienced and strategic role responsible for driving the overall SAP architecture strategy and roadmap for the organization. This role is responsible for designing and implementing complex, enterprise-wide SAP solutions that align with business objectives, optimize performance, and ensure scalability and robustness. In addition, the role leads architectural innovation, evaluates emerging technologies, and collaborates with various stakeholders to deliver transformative SAP solutions.

Essential Functions:

  • Architectural Design and Strategy: Design and implement large-scale SAP solutions, including developing and maintaining architectural blueprints and evaluating new technologies. Responsibilities also include assessing implementation strategies and establishing financial accounting consolidation solutions.
  • Implementation and Delivery Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams and oversee the end-to-end implementation process, ensuring quality and compliance with standards. This involves leading global implementation teams and providing technical guidance.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration and Communication: Define project scope with stakeholders, effectively communicate designs, and act as a liaison between different teams.
  • Mentorship and Knowledge Transfer: Mentor junior staff and technical teams, providing guidance and sharing expertise on SAP trends
  • Architectural Knowledge: Understanding frameworks for designing scalable and secure systems.
  • Business Acumen: Aligning system designs with business objectives.
  • Project Management: Skills in planning and executing projects while managing resources.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Translating technical details for various audiences.
  • Security Principles: Knowledge of security protocols and risk management.
  • Cloud Solutions: Proficiency in designing and deploying cloud-based solutions.
  • Leadership and Management: Inspiring others and making informed decisions.
  • Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking: Identifying and resolving challenges.
  • Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 9 years of relevant professional experience, or a graduate degree with a minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience, or in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 13 years of relevant professional experience.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in SAP is required.
  • Experience with SAP HCM module, including HR master data and personnel administration, personnel structure, personnel actions, and the configuration of employee groups and subgroups to support payroll and time management processes.
  • Experience with cross-functional integration between HR and Finance.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience with SAP upgrade projects, particularly ECC to S/4HANA, familiarity with DevOps in SAP environments, and relevant SAP certifications are preferred. Experience in Agile methodologies, leading global projects, and collaborating with external vendors is also beneficial.
  • Expertise in SAP architecture frameworks, integration tools, and ABAP is a plus.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is US$122,000.00 MIN - US$227,000.00 MAX. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, and Vermont is US$106,000.00 MIN - US$197,000.00 MAX. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
