Job Description:

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a JCCC Operations Lead, the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of USCENTCOM. You will play a crucial role as a key liaison between Current Operations and the JCCC watch floor, ensuring effective communication, alignment of operational efforts, and the timely reporting of network issues for prompt resolution. This position is critical in maintaining the flow of information and supporting operational efficiency.
Reporting directly to the J63 Division Lead, the Operations Lead will collaborate closely with contract leadership, military personnel, and government partners to maintain situational awareness and ensure that all reporting meets the highest standards. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in military communications operations, with the ability to analyze complex data, offer actionable insights, and proactively address the needs of senior decision-makers.
This role is essential to the seamless operation of the JCCC and plays a key role in supporting CENTCOM's mission-critical communications infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the liaison between Current Operations, J66 and the JCCC watch floor, ensuring alignment of priorities and seamless communication during events/outages.
- Collaborate with contractors utilizing network monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, SCOM, Dynatrace, SolarWinds) to monitor CENTCOM networks and ensure accurate reporting of issues.
- Facilitate timely communication of network issues to military and government partners for command awareness and critical reporting.
- Analyze incoming data and reports to provide actionable insights, interpreting the significance of the information and its potential impact on decision-making.
- Work closely with senior leaders to identify critical information requirements and deliver comprehensive reports that support strategic objectives.
- Build and maintain relationships with subordinate organizations and partner agencies, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Foster innovation and drive operational strategies that streamline processes, improve efficiency, and drive continuous improvement across teams.
- Support a culture of continuous learning in the JCCC, encouraging team members to engage with mission partners and understand their roles in relation to JCCC operations.
- Champion the adoption of new technologies and methodologies for enhanced productivity and a more agile operational framework.
- Be able to draft clear, concise and actionable documents (orders) or responses (TMTs) directing cybersecurity operations and compliance with organizational and command requirements.
- Understanding of cyber security frameworks, and communication protocols to support mission critical cyber defense initiatives.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your engineering expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Network Engineer Senior must have:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent related experience.
- Experience: 5+ years of related experience
- Required skills:
- DoD 8140 Information Assurance (IA) compliance required.
- Proven ability to analyze complex problems and articulate actionable insights into senior leadership, demonstrating an understanding of the broader implications of data.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build relationships across organizational lines.
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-stress environment, with a focus on collaboration and team development.
- Desired skills:
- Familiarity with military and defense contracting environments.
- Understanding of DoD & Combatant Command roles and responsibilities.
- Experience briefing/engaging with senior military and government leaders.
- Experience with ServiceNow
- Security clearance level: TS/SCI clearance is required.
- US citizenship required

The likely salary range for this position is $97,750 - $132,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
