Essential Functions

  • Support with the day-to-day activities in Supplier Performance in all aspects of Quality development. This would include:
    • Work with QCRI to resolve supplier issuesIssuing/managing supplier correctiveactions/notifications
    • Assist Receiving inspection with certs/inspections
    • Working with suppliers to update paperwork
    • QMOS slides
    • Monthly SQ Metrics
    • Monthly Scorecards
    • Reviewing/approving supplier FAIs
    • Review/approve supplier request forms
    • Receiving authorizations for Verify invoices
    • Support Internal supplier meetings
    • Providing approved special processor lists to suppliers
    • Adding suppliers to our ASPL
    • Develop supplier audit checklists
  • Provides support to technical employees working in an organizational function related to the Intern's area of study.
  • Assists with technical tasks and project support.
  • Supports equipment set up and monitors tests and experiments.
  • Observes results, collects data, and compiles summaries and reports.
  • Learns technical processes and procedures.
  • Job shadows other more experienced professionals and or support staff.
  • May also support the documentation & updates of procedures or work instructions.
  • Handles basic issues and problems


Required Qualifications

  • Required education and experience: Must be currently enrolled in related technical courses or be within 6 months of graduation; No prior experience needed
  • Completed a minimum of 2 years in an Engineering discipline, working towards a BS.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge, skills & abilities: Ability to work as part of a team. Oral and written communication skills. Attentiveness. Ability to understand and follow directions.

    This is a Year-Round Internship located on-site at our facility in Lincoln, NE.



Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
  • Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
  • May need to stand for long periods of time.
  • Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
