Description:

You will be the Software Engineering Manager for the Engineering & Technology (E&T) team. Our team is responsible for delivering end‑to‑end software solutions, from requirements analysis through verification, in a fast‑paced, Agile environment.



What You Will Be Doing


As the Software Engineering Manager you will lead full‑stack development, guide technical strategy, and champion best‑in‑class engineering practices.


Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:



  • Direct full‑stack application development and oversee the software lifecycle (requirements, design, code, test, integration, verification).

  • Manage, mentor, and grow a multidisciplinary engineering team, providing technical coaching, career development, and performance feedback.

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute software development activities while ensuring alignment with engineering standards and processes.

  • Drive recruitment, selection, and training initiatives; oversee performance assessments, salary planning, and competency development.

  • Partner with program leadership and customers to ensure program requirements are met, maintain engineering rigor, and act as the technical conscience for the program.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN – This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Interim Secret clearance to start.


Basic Qualifications:
• Ability to obtain Interim Secret security clearance to start. Must be a US Citizen
• At least 10 years of experience in software design and development
• Familiarity with full stack tools
• Experience with developing product roadmaps
• Experience in leading software engineering teams
• Experience with leading or managing software integration and verification
Desired Skills:
• Experience with full stack development
• Experience with customer and cross-program engagement
• Experience with developing proposals with cost and manpower estimates
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
