Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) or Principal Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within the Engineering HR Organization.  The position will be full-time, on-site and located in Oklahoma City, OK.

This key HRBP role reports to Human Resources Manager 2 in the Aeronautics Systems (AS) Sector. The selected candidate will join a team supporting the Engineering homeroom and provide strategic and tactical support to Engineering leaders and employees. The incumbent will be the focal point to consult on and assist in the development and implementation of HR strategy, initiatives, programs, and policies across multiple client groups, including talent identification, performance management, employee relations, compensation, reward and recognition, succession planning, organization and staff development, leadership/bench strength development, staffing, EEO and other areas within the HR body of knowledge. The implementation of these programs will be through proficient leadership and project management skills and close collaboration with HR subject matter experts. In addition, the selected candidate will be responsible for project management of HR projects, and must demonstrate the ability to plan, organize, implement, and close multiple projects simultaneously on various topics within HR work streams.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with Engineering leaders to develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and programs (e.g., succession planning, workforce development, compensation, and EEO) that align with business goals.
  • Project Management: Lead, plan, and execute multiple concurrent HR projects from inception to completion, driving organizational change and process improvements.
  • Talent & Performance Management: Drive talent identification, performance management, and career development initiatives to build bench strength and enhance employee retention.
  • Employee Relations & Culture: Act as a trusted advisor to build a supportive, inclusive, and high-performing work environment.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with HR peers, leaders, and Centers of Excellence (COE’s) including compensation, employee relations, legal, and organization effectiveness to deliver seamless HR solutions across the organization.
  • Communication: Effectively engage with a geographically dispersed leadership team, demonstrating strong cross-cultural awareness.

This requisition may be filled as an HRBP or Principal HRBP based on the qualifications listed below.

Basic Qualifications for a Human Resources Business Partner:

  • Bachelor’s degree AND 2 years of Human Resources experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance and Special Program Access within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet business needs
  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 15% of the time

Basic Qualifications for a Principal Human Resources Business Partner:

  • Bachelor’s degree AND 5 years of Human Resources experience OR a Master’s degree AND 3 years of Human Resources experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance and Special Program Access within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet business needs
  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 15% of the time

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong technical competence across one or more HR disciplines:
    • Leadership Development
    • Talent Management
    • Employee Relations
  • Demonstrated experience in prioritizing the workday, balancing multiple projects, and working across multiple deadlines
  • Proficiency in Workday
  • Previous HR experience in Aerospace & Defense
  • Current/active DoD clearance

Primary Level Salary Range: $62,100.00 - $93,100.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $77,000.00 - $115,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
