Purpose and Impact:

Amentum is seeking a dedicated detail-oriented housekeeping aide with a strong commitment to cleanliness, safety, and customer satisfaction. Experienced in maintaining sanitary, organized, and welcoming environments through efficient cleaning, disinfecting, and facility upkeep. Known for reliability, strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to ensure high standards of cleanliness are consistently met in support of an O&M contract.

Work Schedule: _(shift hours and days of the week)_

Typical support duties are M-F from 07:00 to 4:00. To include occasional weekends and possibly holiday(s) if required.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Promote and maintain a safe work environment by adhering to established safety protocols and promoting workplace safety as a top priority.
  • Billet rooms require changing linens and making beds, laundering dirty linens, towels, shower curtains, cleaning toilets, sinks, and shower stalls, sweeping and mopping floors, dusting, dusting under/ around furniture, wiping/ polishing furniture, dusting T.V.s, cleaning mirrors, and preparing rooms for check in.
  • Ensure compliance with all Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) regulations, Quality Assurance standards, and organizational objectives.
  • Followed all site-specific policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
  • Execute assigned tasks with precision and attention to detail under the direction of the Mission Support Hospitality Supervisor.
  • Provide daily verbal updates and/or written tasks completed for the day/week.
  • Collaborate with housekeeping peers and leadership to support continuous process improvements and operational excellence.
  • Complete work orders generated through the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for assigned service areas for the month.
  • Assist in maintaining custodial supply inventories across multiple facilities, ensuring adequate stock levels of cleaning products and consumable items are available.
  • Communicate with Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Supervisors to identify facility issues, initiate corrective work order support timely resolution of maintenance concerns.
  • Deliver, set up, and breakdown decorations for occasional events, meetings, and after-hours banquets as required.
  • Execute other duties assigned.

Typical Housekeeping duties:

  • Billet rooms require changing linens and making beds, laundering dirty linens, towels, shower curtains, cleaning toilets, sinks, and shower stalls, sweeping and mopping floors, dusting, dusting under/ around furniture, wiping/ polishing furniture, dusting T.V.s, cleaning mirrors, and preparing rooms for check in.
  • Daily cleaning is typically scheduled for general routine cleaning every month in associated tasks for common areas such as: sweeping, mopping, trash collection and disposal, kitchenette sinks, appliance wipe downs, laundering towels, carpet edges, cleaning inside and outside entry door panels, door ledges, and thresholds, blow or sweep entrances to buildings, and remove cobwebs to entry areas as needed.
  • Deep Cleaning is typically scheduled for quarterly, semi-annual, or annual cleaning tasks for common areas and rooms to include such as: cleaning windows inside and out, carpet cleaning, dust and wiping down all furniture, picture frames, baseboards, cleaning inside and the outside of appliances.

Typical Custodial duties:

  • Office buildings, recreational buildings, and common areas require cleaning toilets, sinks, and shower stalls, sweeping and mopping floors, dusting, dusting under/ around furniture, wiping/ polishing furniture, dusting T.V.s, cleaning mirrors.
  • Daily cleaning is typically scheduled for general routine cleaning every month in associated tasks for common areas such as: sweeping, mopping, trash collection and disposal, restroom sinks, kitchenette sinks, appliance wipe downs, toilets, shower stalls, laundering towels, carpet edges, cleaning inside and outside door panels, door ledges, and thresholds, blow or sweep entrances to buildings, and remove cobwebs to entry areas as needed.
  • Deep Cleaning is typically scheduled for quarterly, semi-annual, and annual cleaning tasks for offices and common areas to include such as: cleaning windows inside and out, carpet cleaning, stripping and waxing floors, dust and wiping down all furniture, picture frames, baseboards, cleaning inside and the outside of appliances.

Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

  • Demonstrates ability to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis while performing assigned duties.
  • Capable of standing for extended periods of 8–10 hours per shift.
  • Able to perform physical tasks including bending, kneeling, stooping, reaching, twisting, and carrying materials as required.
  • Maintain fitness for duty and the ability to safely perform all assigned responsibilities.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment with the flexibility to prioritize tasks, adapt to changing demands, and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Perform jobs/tasks in outside unconditioned environment working in the extreme hot and humid weather. Additionally, at times, extreme cold.
  • Responsible for maintaining and cleaning government issued items and property.
  • Ability to provide a detailed purchase request for consumables within the department.
  • Works effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Skilled in identifying issues, gathering and evaluating relevant information, establishing facts, and drawing sound conclusions.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and committed to maintaining high performance standards and achieving organizational goals.

Minimum Requirements (Clearance Level, Education, Certifications, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of five (2) years of experience in custodial.
  • Ability to provide and maintain all required certifications and credentials.
  • Proficient in basic computer applications, including online training platforms, timekeeping systems, and email communication.
  • Valid driver's license issued by the applicant's state of residence required.

Compensation Details:

$24.00-$26.00
