Job Summary: This is an exciting role an innovative, high-growth defense technology company. We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Talent Acquisition to lead our talent acquisition efforts across all divisions of the company. This individual will be responsible for designing and executing recruiting strategies to attract top-tier operations and engineering talent in alignment with our growth and mission objectives.  

You’ll be a key member of the People Leadership Team, reporting directly to the SVP of Human Resources. You’ll lead and grow a high-performing recruiting team while also rolling up your sleeves to manage critical strategic requisitions. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and execute a scalable recruiting strategy to meet current and future hiring needs across all business units, including technical, programmatic, and operational roles. 
  • Build scalable recruiting processes and programs to support rapid growth while maintaining a great candidate experience  
  • Lead a high-performing recruiting team, fostering a culture of accountability, speed with discipline, and visibility 
  • Manage and grow an internal team of recruiters and external staffing partners 
  • Partner with leadership and HR to forecast hiring needs and prioritize mission-critical roles. 
  • Oversee candidate sourcing, vetting, and pipeline development for hard-to-fill and leadership roles. 
  • Implement and manage recruiting systems, tools, and metrics for efficiency and performance tracking. 
  • Analyze hiring data and metrics to inform strategy, optimize performance, and report progress to leadership 
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners including universities, industry associations, and veteran organizations. 
  • Manage ATS workflows and integrations (experience with Greenhouse preferred) 
  • Implement and update platforms as needed to improve sourcing and candidate management 
  • Manage a healthy university recruiting and internship program to pipeline great talent for the future. 
  • Lead employer branding efforts in partnership with marketing to position the company as a top destination for talent. 
  • Serve as a strategic advisor on market trends, workforce intelligence, and competitive hiring practices.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field  
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in talent acquisition, with at least 6 years in a leadership role. 
  • Proven track record of scaling recruitment in a fast-paced, mission-driven organization. 
  • Proven success hiring for technical and non-technical roles at scale 
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills. 
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) (Greenhouse preferred) and recruiting analytics. 
  • Experience building teams that align with company values and further company culture

As required by the Equal Pay Transparency Act, Epirus provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. 
For the state of California only, the range of starting pay for this role is:
$186,300—$239,400 USD
